Sharon is an Associate at McKay’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. She assists in advising and representing clients on complex commercial disputes, real estate and construction, and procurement litigation, whether seeking resolution through arbitration, litigation or mediation.

 

She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Kenyatta University, a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law (KSL), and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification from the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB).

 

She is also a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).

 

Sharon has extensive experience in representing clients across a number of sectors. Some of the notable transactions that he has been involved in are:

 

• Commercial litigation: part of the team representing a number of banks and financial institutions in suits relating to the exercise of a statutory power of sale;

 

• Real estate &construction litigation: representing a leading real estate developer in various matters ranging from tenancy disputes, evictions and contractual disputes relating development and purchase of houses;

 

• Insolvency: representing a number of petitioners and creditors in insolvency proceedings filed against various leading Kenyan supermarkets;

 

• Procurement litigation: representing an electricity transmission and distribution company in relation to a dispute emanating from unpaid supplier invoices.
